Are We Hoppin?

There are a couple of approaches to the hopping game, whether at full size or in scale. It starts with that street hopper – the street car that hits the streets, putting in the work. Then there's the super street hopper, the car that can be driven but is generally pulled out for competition. And then there’s the radical hopper. These are the straight-up trailered rides that have one purpose and one purpose only: the sky!

I think we can expect much of the same considerations with the R/Cs and 1/1 vehicles alike. Different set-ups, serve different purposes. Don't necessarily think you'll be hitting 12+ inches and cruising the strip. Not to say it can't be done, but there are setups that work best in certain situations. With the innovation of tons of new parts available for the RC Lowriders, it’s important to remain focused on the end goal for your ride.

There are a couple of videos that will point you in the right direction. But as we all know, the sky's the limit, and we are in the early stages of the game as far as RC Lowriders go.

Here’s a great video On setting up a single pump street hopper by Kristian from Northside RC.
